Summary
Funding Circle’s Risk Team is looking for an enthusiastic, smart, results-driven Senior Risk Analyst to join and support the exponential growth of our business. Our Risk Team are quantitative analysts who can extract meaningful business insights from customer data, and leverage predictive models to create decision strategies that will optimize business performance. The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for key functions like Collections, Manual Underwriting, and Fraud; while driving operational strategy in these areas.This is a strategic role that sits at the heart of value creation by ensuring that Business grows profitably with the right risk controls. The Senior Risk Analyst works closely with the US CRO.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with US CRO to drive risk strategy to ensure that loss rates for the portfolio are met and investors get the required returns * Analyze key credit metrics and perform deep dive analysis to understand areas/segments of weakness or growth opportunities. * Propose & Track credit strategies to address the above areas and work closely with partner teams to drive the implementation of the operational strategies * Work with partner teams in risk & analytics to ensure delivery on critical analytics and decision science inputs for US portfolio * Build relationships across different business areas to facilitate implementation of risk strategies * Be able to take ownership of projects/ key risk decision areas like new product development, risk spectrum expansion, new channel development etc. and work with business teams to ensure risk inputs/ controls are fully incorporated in these initiatives
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in quantitative/finance related field required * 2-5 years of experience in risk management role in financial services * Prior small business lending experience is a significant plus * Proficient with analytical tools like Excel VBA, QlikView, Tableau, R or SAS, Python * Proven problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods * Excellent ability to translate complex problems into clear and simple stories * Open minded, collaborative, great to interact with * Strong project management skills * Open minded, collaborative, great to interact with Identification with our Mission, “To build a better financial world” * Alignment with our Core Values: Think Smart, Make It Happen, Be Open, Stand Together, Live The Adventure
