Summary

Funding Circle’s Customer Analytics team is looking to add an enthusiastic, smart, & results-driven Senior Business Analyst to support the exponential growth of our business at one of the most exciting times for our company.

Our Senior Business Analysts are quantitative analysts who can extract meaningful business insights from customer data, and leverage predictive models to create decision strategies that will optimize business performance. The Senior Business Analyst supports the Risk Management, Marketing, Capital Markets, Operations and Finance teams.

This is a strategic role that sits at the heart of value creation utilizing leading edge analytics and turning data into long term competitive advantages.

Responsibilities
  • Understands business needs and defines analytical frameworks to facilitate problem-solving
  • Performs data mining to extract actionable insights to inform business strategy
  • Builds simulation models to assess business options and identify optimal scenarios
  • Recommends optimal business strategies based on historical performance, predictive analytics and scenario analysis
  • Designs logical decision trees and partners with the Engineering team to implement these algorithms into production environments
  • Creates and maintains automated management information reports to track business performance across business areas, including reporting to Institutional Investors
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative or Finance related field required
  • 2-5 years of experience in direct marketing/digital/sales optimization preferred
  • Prior Financial Services experience
  • Proficient with analytical tools like Excel VBA, QlikView, Tableau, R or SAS, or Python
  • Proven problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods
  • Excellent ability to translate complex problems into clear and simple stories
  • Open minded, collaborative, great to interact with
