Summary

The Associate Decision Scientist is responsible for building best in class Underwriting & Marketing Models to drive Credit & Marketing performance of the FC portfolio. The right candidate has 1-2 years of experience in Credit Risk & Marketing Modelling in the Financial Services space and a quantitative background. The Associate Decision Scientist will work closely with Lead Decision Scientist and will have high visibility to US and Global CRO.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Underwriting & Marketing models to drive Credit performance of Funding Circle portfolio. This involves synthesis of information across Commercial & Consumer data sources and combining in a seamless manner
  • Deliver on ad hoc analysis to:
  • explore new data sources that help to improve risk discrimination
  • identify segments of population where model performance can be improved e.g. segments with high Underwriter overrides
  • Contribute to the development of enhanced models and explore new modeling techniques
Ideal Candidate
  • 1-2 years of Credit Risk & Market Modelling experience in the Financial Services space
  • Good knowledge of drivers of credit behavior and experience in leveraging that knowledge to build effective models
  • Strong statistical knowledge especially in logistic regression & machine learning
  • Quantitative background: MS or Undergraduate in Statistics or Econometrics
  • Good knowledge of SAS / SQL
