Multifamily Production and Sales is responsible for originating and structuring multifamily loans and managing Freddie Mac's extensive Seller/Servicer network. The VP, Multifamily Production & Sales, is seeking a Senior Director to oversee the New York Region. The Senior Director will work on the origination and structuring of permanent (long-term) financing and will be responsible for managing day-to-day relationships of both Seller Servicers and Borrowers. In addition, the person in this role will be responsible for business development and new product initiatives.
- Perform regular marketing calls regarding new products & processes.
- Participate in joint marketing calls to meet with active borrowers in assigned territory and attend industry events.
- Responsible for deal contact, property inspections, preliminary sizing of deals per Freddie Mac's credit policies, the quoting and deal structuring process, and working cooperatively with the underwriting group to negotiate the terms of the transaction and to otherwise ensure clear communication and a seamless execution.
- Responsible for the deal management through rate lock and is expected to be involved as necessary as issues arise through the underwriting, commitment, and closing process.
- Primary focus is originating and structuring mortgage loans.
- Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
- Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria of projects, programs and people.
- Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.
Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in Multifamily and or Commercial Real Estate
- 8 years of management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or related field of study
- Demonstrated experience in originating and structuring Multifamily mortgage loans
- Experience in business development and new product initiatives
Preferred Skills
- GSE experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to negotiate with customers or management or attempt to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with social media publishing, monitoring, and analytics platform
- Public Relations/Media/Marketing agency experience a plus
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
