Summary
FOX Sports is looking for an outstanding talent to join the FOX Sports Digital team as Product Manager. We are seeking a sports fan that is smart, dedicated, and enthusiastic. This person will have a passion for getting the details right, and will thrive in a creative, deadline-driven environment. Our focus is creating the industry’s best sports applications for Web, iOS, Android, and connected devices. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and profitable completion of numerous concurrent interactive projects across foxsports.com and additional FOX Sports Digital properties. You will help direct projects throughout their life cycle, from product ideation and discovery through design, agile development, QA, launch and ongoing product enhancement. In this role, you will be responsible for articulating the product vision to all stakeholders, and you will serve as the primary liaison in communicating product features and functionality effectively to the project management, development, and QA teams.
Responsibilities
* Understand user needs, evolving market trends, technology innovations, and competitive offerings to grow and develop new and existing online sports products. * Work closely with engineering, marketing and business stakeholders to translate product features and functionality into detailed user stories/product requirements. * Manage the complete product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, using analytics to inform project priorities. * Serve as product owner in scrum development process – owning roadmaps/backlogs, development schedules and product designs while providing additional information, user testing, and prioritization as necessary. * Develop new ad opportunities that focus on maximizing ad viewability and user engagement. * Deliver high quality digital products with sound usability, low maintenance costs, and low bug count.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years experience in digital product management. * Knowledge of agile development practices, bug tracking software, and wire-framing applications. * Knowledge of customer-focused design, usability principles, and Lean development practices. * Strong knowledge of sports and online sports products. * Highly analytical and detail oriented with excellent inter-personal, communication and presentation skills. * Self-motivator who takes personal responsibility for his/her projects and is able to adapt to changes in requirements and/or priorities. * The ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary. * Strong computer skills required. * Sound understanding of HTML principles.
