Marketing Communication Specialist

The ideal candidate enjoys writing and storytelling, is an active consumer of digital media and emerging technology, and has the ability to apply big picture thinking to local execution. This person will work closely with the Marketing Manager on internal corporate marketing and support two to three clients with strategic brand planning, content development, and client management.

• Assists the marketing team with internal brand support (to include website content, social media content development and implementation, newsletters, events, draft written communication)
• Assist in the development of basic marketing plans, primarily digital and social, to achieve corporate and client objectives
• Build and manage editorial calendars across teams and divisions
• Assist in the development of marketing collateral
• Write, format and manage analytics tracking and reports
• Identify and explore promotional and industry events and opportunities for internal/external client involvement
• Organization and inventory of all marketing supplies

• 2-4 years of experience in marketing communications
• Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Corporate Communications or Advertising
• Experience across general marketing process - research, planning, promotion and evaluation
• Highly motivated self-starter and results-oriented team player used to agile and fast-paced work environments
• Strong project management skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of office software required, experience with CMS systems or Adobe CS is a plus
• Experience working in federal contracting, especially on Military marketing support a plus
