Summary
The IT Project Management Office Associate is responsible for supporting the translation of business needs into cost-efficient technical solutions by determining the requirements of small sized software development projects, and communicating clearly to all stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. The position will also provide some administrative support to IT project groups through the performance of ancillary tasks such as scheduling meetings, conducting independent research, and performing ad hoc assignments.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with external vendors, internal departments, and company leadership to design, develop, and implement operational information systems Identify and create high-level solution designs, consisting of project specifications and requirements, project scope and objectives, and success metrics, based on an analysis/assessment of user needs Evaluate existing information systems through gap analysis, developing viable alternative solutions and estimates by working closely with the IT Project team to align designs that enable the achievement of strategic business outcomes Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects, implementation, system fixes and enhancements, etc. to ensure proper organizational adoption Responsible for the Business Requirements Gathering process prior to the initiation of projects in order to define project deliverables and goals Conduct individual research as needed to help gather intelligence for project planning
Ideal Candidate
* Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a specialization in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a relevant discipline * Must have 1-2 years of IT and/or project management experience, preferably in the retail business * Must have a working knowledge of programming, applications development, and technical architecture * Must be technologically savvy, demonstrating the ability to easily adapt to new and unfamiliar technologies, software, and systems * Must have the ability to work under immense pressure in order to meet strict deadlines and goals * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with all level of employees * Must have excellent organization and planning skills
