Responsibilities
**Relocation:** Possible **Additional Work Hours Information**: * Occasional Overtime * On Call * Possible Weekends/Holidays **Job Description:** We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to supervise and lead a team in the daily maintenance and operations of a military residential community. You will maintain the physical assets and performance of the communities to achieve the highest possible net operating income. You will also monitor regulatory compliance and company policies and procedures related to property management. Forest City prides itself on being a company where people enjoy what they do because they know it's not just a job - they make a difference every day. **In this position your primary responsibilities will include:** * Leading and managing a team of associates on a day-to-day basis * Maintaining an expert knowledge of all maintenance programs and capital improvement projects * Making recommendations for the annual maintenance budget * Maintaining a current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations * Performing all functions related to preservation and value of the property * Communicating with the residents and addressing their needs
Ideal Candidate
* Associate degree; Bachelor's degree preferred * Valid current state's drivers license * CFC Certification required * 3-5 years experience in property management, general maintenance, supervisory skills and budget implementation * Minimum 3 years maintenance technician experience * 2 years maintenance supervisory experience in residential property management * Knowledge of maintenance programs through formal education or on-the-job training preferred
