Warehouse Order Selector

Food Services of America (FSA) is one of the nation's largest broadline foodservice distributors, serving customers throughout the mid-west, west and Alaska from our regional distribution centers.

Read production schedule, work order, shipping order, and/or requisition to determine items to be moved and gathered. Obtain merchandise from storage shelves; place merchandise on pallets; place label onto item in preparation for shipping. This is a night shift position, approximately 5:30pm to 2:30am, with overtime as needed.

* Perform a combination of tasks to prepare customer orders for shipment. * Read shipping order to review products being selected and evaluate how to build pallet to coordinate delivery to schedule of driver. * Obtains merchandise from storage shelves * Places merchandise on pallets * Operates electric pallet jacks and forklifts through all areas of the warehouse to collect product from shelves and other storage areas. * Builds a stable pallet board containing a variety of shapes and sizes. * Labels each customer order and reviews order for completion. * Frequently lifts 1-75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. * Other duties as assigned. **Standards Of Performance** * Mispicks v. branch average * Short on loads v. branch average * Engineered production standards

* Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. * Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED. * Able to work independently in a fast paced warehouse operation and learn product locations. * Able to operate equipment including pallet jack, hand truck, forklift, high pick, and other material handling equipment. * Must be able to frequently lift 1-75 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. * Must pass all pre-employment screenings including a drug test and background investigation. * Must be able to meet set productivity and accuracy company standards.
