Accountant II

This position is part of the ceded reinsurance payable and loss recoverables group. The candidate will review and analyze ceded reinsurance loss recoverable billings ( including underlying transactional detail) to ensure that transactions are billed correctly, collected in a timely manner and cleared from the reinsurance sub-ledger system. Special analytical projects will be assigned as required.

**Education:** * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field. **Experience:** * 3+ years experience at FM Global or within the financial services industry. **Skills/Abilities:** * Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and practices * Strong data/analytical capabilities- fact gathering and analytical techniques. * Strong communication skills including oral, written, visual and graphic * Ability to work in a dynamic and non-routine environment * Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team. * Advanced MS Excel and Access is a plus. * Proficiency with financial systems and standard software applications (Peoplesoft, MS Office, etc) * CPA or equivalent professional designation or working toward designation is preferred.
