Flowers Foods (NYSE: FLO), headquartered in Thomasville, Ga., since its first bakery was opened by the Flowers family in 1919, is today one of the largest producers of packaged bakery foods in the United States. The company operates more than 40 highly efficient bakeries that produce a wide range of bakery food for retail and foodservice customers in the U.S.

Fills orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

* Ensures that product received from plant or other plants is recorded correctly. * Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met. * Maintains cleanliness of work area. * Performs other duties as directed by supervisor. * Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.) * Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures. * Operates powered order pickers, deep reach trucks, forklifts, electric/manual jacks, stretch wrap machines, laser scanners, and voice picking system. * Loads and unloads trucks and interfaces with common carriers.Signs bill of landings for incoming shipments. * Checks incoming products against documentation to verify accuracy. * Sorts product and prepares it for put-away. * Receive product into SAP using barcode scanner or voice picking system. * Puts product away in available space by proper area/zone using order picker, reach truck, pallet jacks ,and voice picking system. * Operate automatic pallet equipment. * Assure product is confirmed into inventory correctly. * Converts product coming from line to Thrift in SAP. * Picks product for customer orders, plant transfers, and samples using voice picking system, pick tickets, shipping papers, order pickers, and manual or electric jacks. * Performs other put-away duties, such as bin location audits, unit load and carton transfers. * Prepares cartons and pallet loads for shipment by attaching proper shipment documentation as well as carrier required documentation. * Prepares unit load shipments with stretch wrap or pallet banding. * Verifies pallets have labels and are loaded onto the correct trailer/truck. * Contacts common carrier to arrange pick-ups for scheduled loads. * Loads and unloads cartons to and from pallets or carts by using forklift and manual or electric jack. * Manages recycling of wooden palter and disposal of damaged pallets. * Understands, follows, and participates in all safety, security, and emergency procedures. * Determines if product is damaged and required inventory adjustment. * Presents any discrepancies to Shift Forman. * Participate in inventory counts on a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly basis as determined by the Internal Controls Department.

**Desired Experience** One year shipping or related experience. **Desired Education** High School or GED and must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record information applicable to the job.
