Summary
Responsible for plant sanitation during his/her assigned shift. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to determine sanitation requirements of bakery equipment and machinery. - Prepare work schedules, assign sanitation personnel to tasks and inspect/supervise work in progress and on completion. - Functions in capacity of Environmental Control Superintendent in his/her absence. - Monitor chemicals to prevent misuse. - Supervise and participate in fogging and spraying plant with insecticides. - Inspect plant frequently for traces of vermin and to ensure standards of cleanliness are met. - Promote and maintain good employee relations. - Promote established safety programs and safe operating procedures and monitor employee compliance. - Complete daily and weekly administrative paperwork. - Advise superintendent of daily and weekly department activities. - Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes – Oxley, Safety, etc.) - Ensures employee compliance with work rules. - Assists with employee training. - Makes recommendations on disciplinary action and otherwise participates in the disciplinary action process as necessary. - Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
**Desired Experience** * Prefer that he/she have two to three years experience in wholesale bakery sanitation department and/or three to five years experience in wholesale bakery manufacturing department. **Desired Education:** * Prefer that he/she have High School education or GED equivalency.
