Customer Service Associate

Floor & Decor is a leading specialty retailer in the hard surface flooring market, offering the broadest in-stock selection of tile, wood, stone, related tools and flooring accessories - at every day low prices. The company was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Atlanta.

This position is responsible for cashiering, handling product returns, performing basic cash office functions, and providing every customer with an exceptional shopping experience.

• Act and work in a manner that is consistent with company’s core values.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the company’s safe lifting practices standard operating procedures
• Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner
• Process customers at checkout using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system
• Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
• Open and close cash registers
• Follow established cash, check and charge card acceptance procedures
• Answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines established by Floor and Décor
• Stock and tag merchandise displays as required

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least six months of cash handling experience
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (Must be able to use a calculator)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
• Must pass pre-employment background check
