Category management interns are given ownership of large, important areas of opportunity. Responsibilities
The primary role of a Category Manager within Fiverr is to own a specific category on fiverr.com (e.g. Graphics & Design). The CM is responsible to develop the overall strategy of that category and drive its execution across the organization. As the owner of a category they are ultimately responsible for its revenue. The Category Manager is the business owner of the category who will work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution, developing marketing plans to drive awareness and adoption, segmenting customers and developing business models, defining and analyzing success metrics, and managing strategic projects. Category Managers have direct impact on Fiverr’s positioning as the world’s largest marketplace for professional and creative services, its customer experience, and its overall growth strategy.
Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years of experience - preferably mix of consulting/banking and digital marketing / e-commerce/ account management / online merchandising or product management * Interest in technology, and technology enabled features and services * Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems and work well with cross functional teams * High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously * General manager/owner mentality, entrepreneurial drive, and proven ability to influence others * Intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and drive to get stuff done * Current 1st year MBA student
