Responsibilities
- Create 3D models, prototypes, sketches, and proof of concept models that effectively communicate design intent. - Create rendering for internal and external presentation materials - Manage and guide the development of other industrial designers to improve consistency and output of work from ID group. - Provide functional prototypes and presentation quality prototypes for internal and external presentations. - Collaborate with outside design agencies and/or Universities to increase bandwidth and offer fresh perspectives. - Participate in marketing research activities. Translate observations from field research, ethnography, and focus groups into concept sketches and drawings.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from an IDSA accredited school. - 7-10 years experience of product design. Preferable experience designing consumer products with an emphasis on consumer interface and usability. - Proficient with 3D Modeling package; Adobe PhotoShop, and Illustrator; Microsoft Office Suite. Functional knowledge of injection molding, metal forming and fabrication and common assembly processes. - Must have strong creative and communication skills, manage time effectively, and build relationships across disciplines. - Ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change.
