Responsibilities
You’re going to have a great influence on how the business of IT at Fisher Investments is conducted. Fisher Investments understands that we need technology to support what we do—IT is a business partner, not an expense center and you will be at the center of helping make IT business decisions. Plus, you’re going to get a broader exposure to project management, application development and infrastructure. You’ll get in on the ground floor to create new processes to transition to a global company. There’s plenty of room for rethinking how we do things, in fact we encourage it! This isn’t your typical IT Controller role. We are looking for a person who understands how an IT organization functions and is run, not just the forecasting and budgeting side. Part of this role is managing our change management process, vendor management, contract management, and other processes.
Ideal Candidate
- Drive the standardization of divisional operational and financial reporting metrics - Prepare management reporting and analysis of operational metrics and trends - Provide detailed variance reporting on expenses, capital investments, headcount, and projects - Oversee the development of the 1-3 year planning forecast for capital and expense - Manage the development of staff which helps run the business processes - Manage vendor relationships with major companies like Microsoft, Cisco and Citrix - Manage telecom vendor relationships to ensure accuracy of the billing and optimization of plans - Oversee the procurement process from requisition to fulfillment - Assess current procedures to verify systems and controls are working effectively and make recommendations for improvement - Manage and control the changes in the production environment - Develop, maintain and enforce the policies and procedures and standards for the IT department
