Summary
FTCH is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Roadway Engineer and Senior Bridge Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience for immediate employment in our growing Columbus, Ohio office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in transportation engineering design, project management and sales, and marketing. This position requires self-motivation, commitment to high-quality work performance, excellent planning and communication skills, and the demonstrated ability to work with clients, the public, and provide leadership to staff in a project team environment.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with marketing and technical staff from all FTCH offices to assist the Columbus office in providing transportation design services to ODOT, Counties, Cities and local state and private universities. Existing relationships and contacts with these client types would be helpful. * Seek, lead and prepare proposals and fees with assistance from our marketing staff for transportation projects in Ohio. * Develop client presentations for interviews, prepare marketing materials and award submissions, and plan and attend conferences and other events. Interface routinely with department leaders, senior management, proposal and business development staff, and graphics staff to provide marketing coordination and leadership. * Interact with transportation design team in various FTCH offices. * Participate in strategic planning process that includes preparation of Ohio Transportation Plan identifying clients and projects, evaluating marketing information, teaming strategies, and sales growth. * Manage and lead transportation projects from proposal stage to completion of construction plans with assistance from staff engineers.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum Physical Requirements: * Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. * Will perform duties in the field and will be required to access and maneuver around project sites and use a computer. * Capable of traveling to and from projects is required. * Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. * Visual acuity to perform responsibilities. Desired Education: * Bachelor's of Science Desired Degree: * Civil Engineering Desired Job Experience * Ohio PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
