Interactive UI Designer

We’re looking for a thoughtful and empathetic Interactive UI Designer with a bias for action to contribute toward high-impact product initiatives and architect great experiences. Given feature concepts and told to run with them, our Interactive UI Designer will do all the technical and workflow research required to design world class features, while also managing to scale back releases into multiple phases of delivery. “Focus on design” is one of our company values, and our Interactive UI Designer is tasked in helping driving it forward.

**You Will** * **Solve Problems** * Figure out what the problem is and how to solve huge pain points pertaining to understanding and acting upon government information, resulting in both disruptive design for new products and improvements to current products. * **Work Cross Functionally** * Effectively collaborate with various departments across the company to deliver world-class design in the form of templates, assets, and application features. * **Prototype** * Mock up various UI options efficiently on multiple platforms to communicate your vision and ideas to various parties, from clients to engineers. Never sacrificing quality for speed, you will deliver high quality design in conjunction with agile development cycles.

As you advance your career, you look forward to taking your broad experience and skill set to hone in on developing your interactive UI and design expertise at FiscalNote. **You Have** * Minimum three years working on design in a professional setting. * Ability to prototype with Illustrator or Sketch, coupled with InVision, and experience rapidly wire framing with low-fidelity apps such as Axure. * A strong design portfolio with examples of well-thought out interactions, data flow, and clear visual interface designs that support user goals. * Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks. * Strong understanding of behavioral design principles. * Experience with web app design and/or mobile application design. * Experience working with with engineers and product managers.
