Summary
Performs activities required to deploy and support the enterprise IP network comprising over 60 sites nationwide and supporting branch operations, 24x7 production datacenters and applications, telephone and video systems, user workstations and other devices.
Responsibilities
* Identification, diagnosis, and resolution of Linux server and application problems. * Configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Linux server - both physical and virtual machines * Manage and configure systems through VMWare using industry best practices. * Ensure servers are configured and maintained in accordance with appropriate standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements. Utilize and follow the change management process for system changes. * Configuration of Unix based appliances and other server security configuration. * Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities. * Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor. * Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.
Ideal Candidate
**Required:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) * Minimum of 7 years’ experience using RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu or equivalent Unix/Linux performing all activities such as installation, system integration, image development, patching, upgrades, complex problem resolution and other activities in large, complex environment * Solid understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols * Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments * Extensive experience with LDAP * Solid understanding of LDAP topography, subdomains and OU’s * Experience Server high-availability Clustering and load-balanced web server environment * Extensive experience with VMWare ESXi 5.X. ESXi 6.x a plus * Experience deploying and managing DNS, NIS, NFS and iSCSI and fibre channel LUNS. * Working knowledge Network Appliance storage and tools * Enterprise-level system administration of Unix servers * Experience with Unix based access to Active Directory and LDAP authentication systems * Demonstrated scripting experience in bash, ksh, or bourne shell. * Experience with Cisco UCS, HP Blade server hardware, and Network Appliance Filers * Familiarity with Oracle Data Appliances (ODA) * Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications skills * Team player * Ability to pass extensive background verification **Desired Skills:** * Experience or knowledge of infrastructure operational tools such as: Commvault/Legato. * Experience as a Windows Server Administration * Redundancy/Fail-over Experience (ie: VMWare SRM, Zerto) * Configuration management tools experience, ie: Puppet, Satellite. * Experience with MySQL administration * Experience maintaining server hardware and warranty contracts with vendors
