UI Software Engineer

The leader in stopping advanced targeted attacks that bypass existing defenses, such as traditional and next generation firewalls, IPS, anti-virus, and gateways.

- Actively participate in all phases of development including design, implementation and sustainment - Work with the FireEye UX team and engineering team to implement designs - Participate in code reviews for team deliverables - Constantly improve the product by researching, innovating, and prototyping new solutions - Help diagnose and resolve field-reported issues - Keep current with the latest tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) related to cybersecurity threats and malware.

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience - 2-5 years programming experience - Experience building Web 2.0 applications with an emphasis on UI design - Experience coding in Javascript, HTML5 and CSS - Understanding of Javascript frameworks such as Angular.js, JQuery and Node.js - Understanding of Single Page Applications, WebSockets and RESTful API Desig - Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL - Experience with high-performance big data applications like ElasticSearch/Hadoop - Ability to use Linux as a development platform - Understanding of source control using SVN and/or GIT and/or Perforce - Ability to effectively work in a cooperative team environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong user-oriented design focus
