Responsibilities
- Provides hardware support and networking services to internal departments (computers, phones, printers, network access, fax/copy machines) and external clients - Perform network management to include controlling, planning, allocating, deploying, coordinating, and monitoring the resources necessary for proper network operations, maintenance and services - Conduct security-centric infrastructure components and various scanning tools - Provide expertise in the current network topologies, protocols, equipment and utilizes state-of-the art network management tools for monitoring, collecting, analyzing and reporting system performance data - Configure and maintain Cisco routers, Nexus switches, ASA Firewalls, wireless, and all associated network equipment, including creating /maintaining routing tables, Access Control Lists (ACLs) and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) - Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits, penetration tests, SSAE16 and customer related audits - Administer new and existing Windows and Linux servers - Provide VMware/Virtualization Support and Maintenance - Proactively identify potential issues in the production environment and help recommend solutions - Participate in the team’s on-call support rotation - Patch Management - Backup Management
Ideal Candidate
- Windows Server (2008/2012) Systems Administration and Engineering - Active Directory / Group Policy / DFS / ADFS - Experience with Cloud Based computing is a plus - 3+ years’ experience using VMware and VMware Storage standards and products in an enterprise SAN environment - Experience in designing, configuring and maintaining Microsoft Exchange environments - Experience with NetApp SAN is a plus - Linux admin and shell scripting skills is a plus - Proficient with Cisco routing, switching, IOS and ASA products - Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Unity and IPCC - Experience with VPN or remote access technology - Experience with DMZ environment - Experience with Cisco ICE, ACS is a plus - Experience working with routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP and OSPF - Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON and RDP - A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. - Strong documentation & communication skills - Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment - A broad range of technical skills with a strong desire to constantly expand skillset - Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete goals independently - Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and manage personal work and small projects -Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities - S. degree in MIS, computer science, engineering, related technical degree or commensurate experience - CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, MCSA, VMWare, Storage Certifications or other related vendor certifications is a plus - Only individuals permanently authorized to work in the U.S. need apply. - No relocation assistance is provided
