Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced, skilled and energetic individual to fill the position of Senior Software Engineer in the Fidelity EI Strategic Investment Products & Data (SIPD) group in RTP, NC. As an individual contributor within the SIPD team, the selected candidate will be responsible for working on multiple complex projects.

• Work within Fidelity’s standard Systems Development Life Cycle to produce high quality documentation
• Technical lead for multiple projects concurrently
• Work closely with the data architecture team
• Work closely with systems partners and project manager

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of data modeling
• 8+ years of pl/sql
• 5+ years of Oracle pl/sql tuning
• Some Web Services experience
• Prior experience in Control-M
• Some Project Management experience will be a plus

Skills and Knowledge

• Good written, listening and oral skills
• Strong sense of ownership
• Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects will be required
• The ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision is important
• An understanding of good database design techniques
• Experience with high data volume applications (1+ TB)
• 2+ year experience in incident management
• Should be reliable, thorough, fast-learner, self-motivated
• Should have 3+ years experience in 24 X 7 systems operations
