Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network engineer in the DNS Engineering team will be responsible for working with Fidelity Business and Risk units and with external vendors to develop and deliver solutions to meet varying business requirements. Meeting with customers, other engineering groups, risk and architecture personnel in order to provide a stable and secure environment is required. The position will require a disciplined approach towards change management and providing associated documentation.

• DNS/DHCP implementation
• Tools analysis, metrics and recommendations for future process automation
• System integration
• 1st and 2nd Level Operational Support
• Coordination and validation of EI customers’ PPM requests and DNS requests
• Domain Name Process and Management
• IP Management

Education and Experience

• BA / BS or equivalent
• 5+ years of IT Experience

Skills and Knowledge

• Extensive BIND, DNS and DHCP knowledge
• Domain Name Registration principals and deployment
• UNIX and Windows Administration
• Lucent QIP and WorkFlow Manager

The candidate should have experience with some of the following:

• Programming & Scripting – Python, Perl, shell script, C
• Active Directory
• UDDI (preferably Systinet)
• WebSphere Administration
• Workflow Processes
• Data Network Design Principles
• Database Design Principles
