Director, Client Design and Media Solutions

The Director, Client Design and Media Solutions will report to the VP, Proposal Services and be responsible for managing a team of associates committed to designing an interactive, engaging site visit and finals experience for our most visible clients and prospects. This includes working with WI business partners including: Account Executives (AEs), Product and Service Consultants (PSCs), Solutions Architects (SAs), Managing Directors (MDs), Sales Managers, and Sr. Executives.

• Build a high-performing design team to drive a highly engaging, meaningful experience for our Strategic and top tier clients and prospects.
• Deliver key content design for our Sales teams; create a compelling and meaningful story through a highly creative, highly custom presentation experience.
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of current and emerging design technologies
• Manage the end-to-end site visit and finals experience in support of business goals and objectives.
• Lead client meetings and design sessions as required.
• Drive strategy around technology, tools, training required—including selecting the right technology and tools.
• Present strategies and most recent materials to L1/L2 executives across WI, PI.
• Manage a team of 6-8 Media Consultants, Lead Designers, Visual Designers, process leads, and provide technology/tools support.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Degree in Graphic Design, Publication Design, Video/Motion design or related discipline a plus.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong executive communication skills (verbal/written).
• Ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management.
• Strong project management experience; ability to manage successfully within tight deadlines and timeframes.
• Advanced process design and improvement.
• Exceptional management skills; ability to motivate, lead, and influence others.
• Advanced knowledge of Power Point and comfortable with Microsoft Office programs in general.
• Extensive experience with design tools and highly developed desktop publishing skills (Adobe Creative Suite in a PC environment).
• Experience with color output (all mediums).
• Experience with Web design and maintenance is a plus.
• Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity, and managing change.
• Experience in executive and client presentation and leading multi-team/group design sessions.
• Ten years or more of graphic design experience.
• Five years or more as a senior level designer managing a team of designers.
• Significant, demonstrated success at leading and delivering complex projects within a tight timeframe.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Financial Services / Benefits Outsourcing industries experience is plus.
