On 10 June 2009, Chrysler emerged from the bankruptcy proceedings with the United Auto Workers pension fund, Fiat, and the U.S. and Canadian governments as principal owners.
The Demand Planner is responsible for managing all demand planning functions of a particular set of products and/or markets.
- The Demand Planner will analyze market trends such as wholesale, retail sales and inventory levels.
- Create production proposals at volume and mix levels maximizing market demand fulfillment, profitability, often constrained by supplier and manufacturing capacities.
- Once proposals are approved at level 1 meetings, implement changes in the production plan.
- Manage day-to-day operations aligning production program to orders and escalating concerns on mismatches between demand signals and future production plan.
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred focus areas in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, Operations Management or related field
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand & Production Planning, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Production Control
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a business-related field
- Supply Chain Management or Sales Operations knowledge/experience
