Summary
Responsible for defining, developing, testing and supporting electrical / electronic subsystems for the line ventilators in the Mimimally Invasive Therapies Group.
Responsibilities
* Design electronic subsystems / subassemblies according to hardware requirements, to support ongoing product design development and qualification, from concept to release to manufacturing. Should be able to show how the design meets assigned hardware requirements. * Debug and troubleshoot designs. * Analyze the design in terms of failure modes and effects analysis (FMEAs), power budget, heat budget, design margins, etc. * Support prototype product builds. 5. Create system, subsystem and custom component specifications for in-house and OEM use. 6. Participate in hardware design reviews. 7. Create and maintain technical documents such as Hardware Requirement, Test Protocols, Test Reports, and Trace Matrix. 8. Knowledgeable in medical devices is a plus. 9. Communicating well with and functioning as a member of a cross functional team. 10. Knowledgeable in analog and digital circuitry components and design, printed circuit board (PCB) layout, EMI/EMC testing techniques, system level design and integration practices 1. Ensure adherence to product specifications, industry standards, and quality and regulatory procedures and requirements. 2. Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum BSEE. * 5 years of product design experience * Experience in analog circuit design and electro-mechanical devices: Pressure sensor, Flow Sensor, solenoid, power supplies, motor control, transducer, and microprocessor. C and Verilog experience is a plus * Medical product development experience desired * Knowledge of FMEAs a plus * Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills and abilities * Well-organized self-starter willing to work in a cross-functional environment
