Maintenance Lead Technician

Position responsibilities include performing all maintenance responsibilities; training all current and new employees; assigning/scheduling work; meeting department quality; production and maintenance standards; meeting department safety and sanitation goals; record keeping to include maintenance records, employee attendance records.

* Develops/schedules/coordinates department tasks, resources, work schedules and equipment. * Has troubleshooting and problem solving skills. * Coordinates maintenance and repairs to processing and packaging equipment, assists when necessary. * Administers and enforces GMPs and safety practices. * Provides effective leadership and direction for maintenance department. * Provides assistance in scheduling of machines for repair or rebuild. * Insures quality and workmanship of repair. * Identifies opportunities to reduce labor and costs. * Insures maintenance areas are audit ready at all times. * Assists in performance reviews. * Purchases parts and materials and availability of same. **Leadership Functions:** * Assist in Employee Development Activities (performance appraisal, employee recognition, employee coaching, employee motivation, training, corrective action). * Appropriate time management skills; meets deadlines. * Operates equipment in a safe manner following GMP guidelines and keeps work area clean. * Participates in meetings. * Trains others.

3-5+ years' of recent experience in a first line leadership role in manufacturing ; should have a strong background with A-B PLCs, motion control centers, HMI, VFDs, and able to manage the regular troubleshooting and maintenance of plant equipment.
