Summary
Eventbrite is looking for a VP of Finance who will lead the Finance team reporting to our Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in corporate and operations finance, capital markets and M&A. We are looking for an individual with strong character, the energy and capacity to get the job done and the experience to lead and mentor a growing organization. The VP of FInance leader will serve as a key member of the corporate Finance team and drive all strategic planning, financial planning, business modeling, forecasting and management reporting activities in partnership with the CFO.
Responsibilities
* Lead FP&A, Analytics and expense management across the organization * Partner cross-functionally providing a breadth of insight and financial decision support * Lead management reporting, including KPI’s, dashboards, business trends and performance vs plan * Create analyses, commentary and presentation materials for Board and leadership meetings * Deliver weekly financial updates, monthly performance analyses and quarterly rolling forecast * Maintain the three-year strategic financial plan and business model * Provide M&A due diligence support; develop financial models for strategic initiatives * Analyze financial planning tools and processes; make recommendations for improvement * Serve as a true financial resource to internal business partners throughout the world * Support the monthly accounting close process with detailed monthly financial analyses * Provide financial modeling and analysis for various ad-hoc financial projects
Ideal Candidate
**The Skill Set** * 10+ years of diversified finance experience * Knowledge of various database systems financial modeling tools used to perform heavy data analysis over hundreds of thousands of records * Evaluate and implement new technology to improve existing financial systems * Possess world-class forecasting talent and well steeped in both the theory and practice of building revenue and expense forecasts, and who can impart this knowledge to a talented FP&A and analytics team * Creativity to think beyond standard accounting metrics to craft ways to hold business units accountable without forcing everything to have a P&L, and who can develop their team in this way * Analytical mindset to help elevate our analytical standards and practice to allow us to take full advantage of the data our massive, global, horizontal platform generates, to help improve both our business and that of our customers * Teach and impart knowledge to the broader global team * Partner and support a global leadership team in driving to results with empathy, judgment and accountability **Bonus Points** * International experience * MBA from top-tier business school * Accounting, tax or actuarial background * Any specific ability with SQL and other data analytics tools
