Summary
The Eventbrite Marketing team is responsible for growing the size and loyalty of a thriving community of event organizers and attendees. With millions of people coming to Eventbrite to buy tickets each week, our dynamic team spans a range of talents—from storytelling and awareness building to performance marketing, demand generation and marketing analytics. We’re looking for an exceptionally analytical and technical email marketer who will be the in-house expert across lifecycle, triggered and batch email campaigns functioning out of two different ESP systems (Marketo and Responsys).
Responsibilities
* Maintain processes and guidelines for campaign creation and deployment — including QA — to ensure programs are executed flawlessly * Code and produce custom emails and newsletters, for both on-going and ad-hoc customer marketing initiatives that render and function flawlessly across major platforms/browsers * Monitor and integrate industry best practices to ensure optimal email results, improved deliverability, and compliance around permission-based marketing, privacy and spam regulation (CAN-SPAM) * Operate as a subject matter expert on all data and systems related to email to drive smooth execution * Deliver timely campaign reporting and meaningful insights in collaboration with work partners * Collaborate with business partners on A/B test hypotheses to increase customer engagement and retention * Stay informed of industry best practices, changes in email compliance laws, and lead share-outs with cross-functional partners * Share learnings with international email marketing partners to guide their optimization efforts
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 2-3 years of direct email production experience * Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and SQL * Experience with lifecycle email campaign systems such as Marketo or Pardot and/or top tier ESP such as Responsys or Exact Target. * Extreme attention to detail and project management skills * A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals. * Thorough understanding of creative brief and email execution best practices including managing for deliverability * Adept at problem solving and an insatiable appetite for process improvement and maximizing efficiency * Bonus Points: * Experience in analyzing email data and sharing out results * Managed email campaign production for complex retail or technology companies with over 1M users * Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events * Marketo, Pardot and/or Responsys certified
