Summary
This role is will play an integral part of achieving our objective by working with large volumes of transaction data from various sources to report and reconcile revenue and cost of revenue numbers. This role will also be responsible for providing input around the building of our systems-infrastructure to reconcile and report on the data.
Responsibilities
You’ll be an integral part in shaping how we build our systems-infrastructure to automate the reporting and reconciliation of our transaction and revenue data from various sources while implementing key controls to ensure the complete and accurate reporting of our revenue numbers. You’ll collaborate closely with our Engineering and Payments Product teams when it comes to the data that drives our revenue reporting. You will also collaborate with our external financial auditors to ensure that numbers are in accordance with GAAP. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations of our Eventbrite revenue including return reserves and cost of revenue and leading the reconciliation of transaction data in a variety of currencies.
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of corporate accounting with at least 2 years of revenue recognition experience * Superb Excel skills and an awesome team player * Amazing communications and collaboration skills with both accounting and non-finance teams * Ability to work independently and maintain tight deadlines * Excellent attention to detail and a love for problem solving * Experience with an ERP system and foreign currency accounting * Experience with reconciliation matching software a plus Bachelor’s degree in a finance related field required; CPA preferred **Bonus Points:** * Prior start-up experience * Big data and big data systems experience
