Responsibilities
You’ll serve as an advocate and promoter of our data-driven culture, serving as a thought leader that sees beyond the numbers and has a strong understanding of business needs. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing teams at all levels to help them use insights that will direct their efforts towards the initiatives with the largest impact. This includes, but is not limited to, customer behavior, lifetime value, churn, engagement, retention, marketing campaigns and digital marketing analytics. You will provide guidance on new methodologies and analytical approaches and synthesize analysis and results into compelling storylines that you will communicate to C-level executives and business partners. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of complex analytical projects and handle the prioritization of a large amount of requests coming from the marketing organization.
Ideal Candidate
* 7+ years of experience using quantitative data analysis to solve business problems with a background in marketing analytics preferred * Excellent grasp of MySQL and Excel * Working knowledge of at least one analytics-related language (Python/R/Matlab) * Experience with Google Analytics is a plus * Strong familiarity with a BI reporting tool such as Tableau or Pentaho * Exceptional oral and written communicator that has high standards for quality * An “always do it right” attitude toward problem solving, while remaining keenly aware of timeliness * Master’s degree or other advanced degree in Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative field **Bonus Points:** * Experience with Hadoop, Hive or other distributed database architectures * Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
