Hadoop DevOps Engineer

Evariant is on a mission to move healthcare providers to the cloud with the data and analytics required to confidently identify and execute on the most important strategic growth, patient engagement and physician alignment initiatives.

This position will be part of a team of Solution Architects and Operational Administrators. You will work with data ingest tools, workflow management systems and help to solve observed issues in an expedient way. Additionally, you will play a significant part at the implementation level and contribute on technical topics.

* Connect existing data pools and future i sources (push, poll and triggered transfers) * Setup, troubleshooting, tuning and operation of CDH based Hadoop clusters * Implementation of modern security mechanisms * Support our application engineering team * Take an active role in our global architecture team * Investigate and try new technologies independently

**Professional Experience:** * Deep knowledge regarding Kerberos, OpenLAPD, Active Directory * Strong experience with Linux and scripting languages (bash, sh, perl, python) **Education/ Certifications:** * Bachelor or equivalent experience in a technical field (i.e. Compute * Technical Skills & Knowledge * Strong Bugtracking, debugging and logfile deep dive skills (JVM, jstack, strace…) * Proven working knowledge of Hadoop (CDH), Kalfka, Storm.. * Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, Sala,) and IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ) * Knowledge of other programming languages preferred e.g. Ruby, JS, C/C++/C# * Keep up to date with latest trends and evolving technology in the big data and analytics (open source) world * Experience with distributed computation, in-memory and batch processing * Knowledge of databases (relational, NoSQL)
