Data Visualization Application Developer

- Develop and prototype responsive web applications and UI modules in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS - Conceptualize and prototype innovative ways to combine maps, charts, timelines, and info-graphics into user-friendly storytelling applications - Work closely with software developers, product engineers, UX/UI designers, and story tellers in a highly interactive and creative environment - Solve technical challenges efficiently and effectively - Identify and leverage the latest technology and methodology - Document functionalities, processes, and best practices to support the growing community of story map authors

- A minimum of two years of experience designing, building, and delivering web applications - A strong interest in data visualization - Ability to manage priorities and tasks in a fast-paced work environment - Strong team skills and the ability to work independently - Bachelor's or master's in computer science, engineering, or a related field - Extensive experience in front-end web development with jQuery and Bootstrap - Experience developing web applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript - Knowledge of server side and native mobile application technology
