Quality Assurance Engineer

Provide testing support for an Agile Development Team. The candidate must work well with others in a team environment. It is necessary for the analyst to be fluent with writing and working under software test plans.

* Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for applications mostly written in C and C++ * Create automated test scripts and test software for iterative and incremental software development efforts * Document test results and provide test progress and reports that will be used in assessing progress of development * Provide scope and time estimates for projects presented for testing and analysis * Create test status and test progress reports for the project team * Responsible for identifying and managing issues and defects for each deployment project

* Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience * 3+ years of Quality Assurance (QA) automation experience on non-UI applications * Demonstrated excellence in writing test plans for mostly C, C++, and Big Data applications * Experience working within continuous integration environments * Strong knowledge of UNIX and scripting using Shell, Perl, Python or similar * Strong knowledge of QA automation frameworks and test suites for non UI based applications. * Familiarity with source code management and issue tracking tools, especially SVN and HP QC/Jira * Experience within large data processing and Agile environments
