Helper-Journeyman Meterman-A4030

The position will be filled with as a Helper 1st year- Journeyman Meterman depending on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate

* Install, maintain and test all instrument transformer rated meters. * Test, verify and troubleshoot all System tie points. * Install and monitor all load research equipment. * Troubleshoot communications of remote metering. * Perform vector, load analysis and power factor tests on all metering installations. * Calculate meter constants on all types of installations. * Operate packaged meter and recorder software applications. * Prepare service orders, TRADE sheets and associated paperwork for transformer rated meters. * Distribution Line outage restoration, such as scouting and refusing.

**Required Qualifications:** * High School Diploma or equivalent * Must have a good safety record and possess a safe attitude. * Must have competent computer skills. * Must have competent Mathematics and Trigonometry skills * Knowledge of basic electric circuit analysis, vector I phase or relationship. * Knowledge of meter terminology is mandatory. * Ability to work independently and with others. * Must be customer oriented. * Must be able to work in industrial and petrochemical plants. * Must be a self-starter, dependable, have the ability to plan and organize. **Preferred Qualification:** * Associate Degree (technical or vo-tech) and/or 3 years Utility Metering Experience
