Summary
This position may be filled as a Financial Analyst I, II or III, Lead Analyst or Sr. Lead Analyst depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate Monitors, maintains and completes key financial functions. As a member of Entergy's Finance Business Partners group assists with budget, financial forecasts, reporting of actual financial results and variance explanations, controls, as well as highlighting key issues and exposing items that may impact profitability. Is involved in process improvement projects and special projects to support Operating Companies as well as functional customers (Transmission and Corporate Safety organization). The successful candidate will be "forward thinking" with both a detail orientation and the ability to think strategically.
Responsibilities
* Creates financial models as needed to evaluate information and be able to explain the results. * Creates analyses and manipulates data as needed for analytical use in presentations. * Identifies and performs necessary updates to models and related systems. Processes documentation ensuring model output remains accurate. * Communicates with other departments to gather information about Entergy's businesses and transactions. * Communicates with subject matter experts across the company to better understand the risk of certain projects and / or investments. * Works in collaboration with Transmission and Corporate Safety functions as well Operating Companies and other corporate organizations (e.g. Accounting, Investor Relations, Regulatory Services) to assess industry/market trends, regulatory strategies, and to prepare financial information for use in decision making.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Education Required of The Position:** - Bachelor's Degree - Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Relevant Field, or equivalent work experience. - Desired: MBA. **Minimum Experience Required of The Position:** * Financial Analyst I - 0 - 2 years experience * Financial Analyst II - 2 - 4 years experience * Financial Analyst III - 3 - 5 years experience * Lead Financial Analyst 5+ years * Senior Lead Financial Analyst 7+ Years **Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required of The Position:** - Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment. - Ability to analyze problems and create solutions. Significant knowledge of financial theory and valuation. - Ability to understand and solve complex financial transactions. - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive projects effectively. - Strong verbal and written communications skills. - Basic knowledge of financial theory and valuation. **Any Certificates, Licenses, etc. Required for the Position Desired:** - CPA,CFA, PE or similar certificates / licenses.
