Visual Designer

Based in Oakland, California, Enlisted, creates innovative brand experiences for Fortune 500’s and small startups. As a dynamic team of strategists and designers, we are a collaborative studio with a focus on brand and packaging as well as digital and physical product development.

Enlisted Design is seeking a mid-level Visual Designer to join our team of creative visual and product designers.

Enlisted thrives on a highly collaborative relationship with our partners, and this role will help find the right solutions to our clients strategic objectives. We are a growing team, and a mid level designer will become an integral part of our creative force, expansion, and culture.

The position will be largely focused on packaging and branding.

• Contribute creative solutions for packaging and branding in various industries.
• Beautiful aesthetics and expertise in color, layout, typography and photography.
• Understanding of branding strategy and associated considerations (objectives, key audiences,, messaging, guidelines, etc).
• Ability to function within a collaborative team and work under the direction of Senior Designers, Art Directors and Management.
• Experience collaborating and presenting your work directly to clients with support from Senior Design staff and management.
• Competent in basic photography, photo editing and color correction.
• Competent in basic mechanical file production for smaller packaging projects.
• Keep current on design trends and explore new approaches.
• Possess an understanding and appreciation for project cycle processes.
• Can develop and maintain a consistent visual design language across a family of products.
• Ability to travel internationally for press checks as required.
• A proactive attitude and team-oriented approach to client projects and studio culture.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant, agency experience
• Mastery of industry standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Portfolio with demonstrated experience in branding and packaging.
• Basic understanding of mechanical file production.
