Senior Visual Designer

Based in Oakland, California, Enlisted, creates innovative brand experiences for Fortune 500’s and small startups. As a dynamic team of strategists and designers, we are a collaborative studio with a focus on brand and packaging as well as digital and physical product development.

Enlisted Design is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to join our team of creative visual and product designers. We are a passionate team and thrive on a highly collaborative relationship with our client partners to create and launch new brands and products. Reporting to the Visual Design Director, the Senior Visual Designer will develop and lead branding and packaging initiatives that align with strategic brand goals. There are full-time and contract opportunities available.

* Participate in the project intake, research and discovery process in collaboration with Account, Visual Design and Industrial Design teams. * Contribute strategic brand positioning solutions and demonstrate how creative visuals would support the position. * Maintain beautiful aesthetics in your work across various platforms for clients in varied industries. * Understand and track design trends, and identify areas of opportunity to expand and stretch conventional approaches. * Strive for detailed craftsmanship in all creative executions. * Factor project specifications, brand awareness, user needs and technical limitations into design considerations. * Understand and appreciate project cycle processes. * Possess strong visual presentation skills and ability to verbally pitch, ideate and review with internal and external client teams. * Develop and maintain a consistent visual design language and system, particularly for packaging design to ensure concepts can be applied successfully across multiple product lines. * Help facilitate creative collaboration within our cross-functional design teams. * Exhibit a proactive attitude and team-oriented approach to client projects and studio culture.

**Required qualifications:** * 4+ years of relevant agency experience. * Mastery of industry standard design software, including the Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and Microsoft Office. * Portfolio and case studies demonstrate how visual creative meets marketing objectives. **Desired qualifications that will strengthen candidacy:** * Familiarity with or interest in Industrial Design. * Experience pitching to clients and/or spec creative development. * Experience with audience testing. * Experience overseeing and mentoring junior staff.
