Enlisted Design is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to join our group of creative minds. We are a passionate team and thrive on highly collaborative relationships with our client partners. This position will provide creative leadership and vision for our product design and cross-functional teams. We match our design solutions to the gestalt of our client’s needs, and are seeking a candidate that can smartly balance technical and aesthetic design to user experience and business objectives.
- Provide vision, creative solutions, and beautiful aesthetics for product design in various industries.
- Understand and track design trends, and identify areas of opportunity to expand and stretch conventional approaches.
- Relentlessly pursue strategic solutions to client goals.
- Demonstrate detailed craftsmanship in sketching and model making.
- Able to absorb user needs, technical limitations, mechanical engineering, and client business objectives into design considerations.
- Possess an understanding and appreciation for project cycle processes.
- Provide guidance for and help facilitate creative collaboration within our cross-functional design teams.
- Have strong visual presentation skills with ability to verbally pitch, ideate, and review with internal and external client teams.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual design language across a family of products.
- Able to oversee and collaborate with ODMs, JDMs, mechanical engineering, and other experts whose work informs the design.
- Show a proactive attitude and team-oriented approach to client projects and studio culture.
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant, agency experience.
- Mastery of industry standard design software, including 3D CAD (Solidworks and/or Rhino), Adobe Creative Suite, and Keynote.
- Hands-on prototyping and model making experience.
Qualifications that are not required, but will strengthen candidacy:
- A willingness to develop and maintain close client relationships.
- Experience pitching to clients and/or spec creative development.
- Collaboration with Management and Account teams to structure project engagements.
- Experience overseeing and mentoring junior staff.
