Software Systems Engineering

Will be responsible for Software Systems Engineering tasks across a wide variety of platform products that includes the P-8A and its associated Software Architecture.

* Collect customer specifications and engineering departments at NSI. * Analyze, design and document software requirements * Assess requirements and assess with customer and NSI engineering departments * Develop functional specifications and assess with software design department * Build software test specifications * Test and verify embedded software on bench and vehicle environments * Follow software issues and report to software design department for corrective action. * Assess program status with software systems management * Perform open issues meetings.

* Bachelor-s degree or higher in an engineering discipline. * 3 -10 experience in Systems Engineering, preferably with Software Systems that include Use Case Analysis, Requirements, Analysis, System Design, and Interoperability. * Strong understanding and experience in Systems Engineering processes and tools * Experience with software development life cycle management * Experience with SOA technologies (ESBs and Middleware Architectures, Web Services development, Software Systems Security) * Experience in Java programming, to include J2EE and middleware messaging. (DDS, AMQP, JMS) * Development is performed on a Linux environment, so familiarity with Linux is essential. * Experience with automated testing techniques and technologies * Strong communication skills * Ability to work under and thrive with tight project deadlines * Experienced with Software Systems Architecture and Design * Experience with Real-time and time sensitive application development. * Experience with Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) and Data Centric Architectures is a plus. * 5-10 years- experience developing software.
