Summary
Performs the day-to-day operational duties needed in achieving company/region goals and objectives for Terminal / Station facilities. This includes, but is not limited to: Load and launch pipeline scrapers, receive and pull pipeline scrapers, station and/or terminal maintenance, documentation of such work, and assisting technical staff in fulfilling compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitors terminal and station buildings to maintain security. Reports and/or corrects deficiencies. - Perform equipment lock out tag out for maintenance. - Load and launch pipeline scrapers, receive and pull pipeline scrapers. - Ensure pipeline scrapers are scheduled for maintenance. - Take call outs for pipeline scraper launch or receive problems. - Receive and launch pipeline inspection tools. - Coordinate and insure safety, policy and procedures are followed by contractors working for Enbridge. - Obtain crude oil samples and report lab analysis as required. - Take call outs to pipeline emergencies. - Completes hazard assessments and issues safe work permits as required. - Assist maintenance technicians with equipment repairs and equipment calibrations. - Maintains terminal and remote station grounds: plant and mow grass, clears snow, grade roads, ditches culverts and flumes. - Checks and maintains fire and safety equipment, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, respiratory protection equipment and gas detectors. - Maintain Operator Qualification requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- Must be committed to and able to display integrity, safety, and respect in the workplace. - High School graduate - Prefer 2 years of experience in operations or maintenance for a crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facility. - Must be safety conscious and committed to working in a safe environment. - Must have a valid driver’s license & excellent driving record. - Must have experience operating heavy equipment such as fork trucks and front end loaders. - Must have basic math skills. - Proficient in computer skills including Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and aptitude for several other specialized programs. - Must be able to physically perform heavy manual work and lifting up to 75 pounds. - Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, physical, and background check.
