Summary
This individual would be responsible for day to day operations and maintenance activities that are associated with operating an expanding and aggressive natural gas gathering and transmission pipeline system. This job requires working a 7 on 7 off rotation offshore shift.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical equipment and/or pipeline equipment - Assist in Overhaul compressors, engines, turbines, motors, auxiliary equipment and/or pipeline equipment - Train operators on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment - Perform engine/compressor performance analysis, including emissions testing Interpret lubricating oil, coolant and other operating reports Identify and report safety and environmental concerns - Completes appropriate documentation and paperwork - Capable of working on high pressure natural gas pipelines - Assists with pipeline operation which may include pigging, valve maintenance, and other pipeline duties - Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all gas and liquid processing units and associated equipment - Identifies and reports safety and environmental concerns - Implements safe work practices and a proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the employee, the public, and the environment at all times - Assumes the responsibility of operating natural gas pipeline associated equipment including but not limited to reciprocating natural gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separating equipment, valves, gas/liquid measurement equipment, etc.
Ideal Candidate
- High School Education or equivalent - Ability to work independently in various situations - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical background with certifications - Uncompromising commitment to safety - High integrity and self- motivated - Excellent vehicle driving record - Basic computer skills - Good communication, problem solving and physical perceptive skills - Team player
