Summary
Performs preventive maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of all rotating and associated equipment, including valves, pumps, motors, meters, tank mixers, sampling systems, relief systems, and material balance systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety.
Responsibilities
* Ensures accurate documentation and records of all duties as listed in primary focus by use of such programs as Maximo, eSource, Lotus Notes, Safe Work Permits, Hazard Assessments, and Equipment Isolation Forms. * Wide responsibility in regards to construction which may include installing, inspecting, and/or commissioning of new equipment key to pipeline operation. * Applies excellent interpersonal skills with internal staff, external departments and customers to ensure that all maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment is carried out safely and efficiently. * Is familiar and complies with the guidelines and procedures set out in the various company manuals. * All mechanical work is prioritized to ensure the operation of our pipeline continues as required by Oil Movements. This includes providing On Call services for after hour requests in order to repair failed equipment. * By possessing a thorough knowledge of piping, valve configuration, and procedures for public safety the Senior Mechanical Technologist assumes the role of first responder to all Pipeline, Station, and Terminal emergencies. * Maintain company tools and equipment as well as assigned on-call vehicle in safe working condition. * Exercising and possessing excellent safety standards such as attending safety meetings, annual water exercise, fire training, on-call rotation and emergency response verifier.
Ideal Candidate
* Mechanical Technologist Diploma/Certificate from a recognized technical program and/or: * Journeyman Certificate in Mechanical Field * Minimum 2 - 5 years experience in an industrial field or Enbridge Mechanical Technologist.
