Summary
Mechanical Technicians maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, tank mixers, mechanical seals, petroleum quality and measurement equipment, motors, fans, and other mechanical equipment along.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that mechanical maintenance work is performed in compliance with regulations and company O&M procedure requirements. - Be aware of and comply with Company safety and work policies. - Perform emergency response first responder duties. - Complete all mandatory safety training. - Complete all required technical training. - Complete all required OQ training and certifications. - Develop and execute equipment lock-outs and routine open system job plans. - Maintain and troubleshoot pipeline system mechanical equipment: pumps, valves, tank mixers, mechanical seals, petroleum quality and measurement equipment, motors, fans, and other mechanical equipment. - Use maintenance management system, i.e. Maximo, to document maintenance work. - Collaborate with the Technical Supervisor, other Mechanical Technicians, Electrical Technicians, CCO and PLM , to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance work efficiently and effectively - Coach/mentor new mechanical technicians. - Maintain terminal and station records and update drawings as required. - Submit as-built drawings to drafting department to ensure area drawings are up to date. - Assist Electrical Technicians and PLM as required. - Assist project teams with construction projects as assigned: design reviews, Hazops, pre-bid tours, pre-construction meetings, mechanical equipment installation, and equipment commissioning. - Communicate with and maintain a positive working relationship with the Control Center operators, Operations and Maintenance personnel, and other internal and external stakeholders. - Perform station housekeeping activities (remote sites): grass mowing, snow plowing, cleaning, septic service, etc.
Ideal Candidate
- High School Diploma - Completion of an approved mechanical apprenticeship program or 2 year mechanical technical/vocational degree. - 3-5 years experience in industrial mechanical maintenance. - Good problem solving skills. - Good interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently with limited supervision. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Effective computer skills. - Knowledgeable in oil/gas pipeline operations is desirable. - Candidate must live, or be willing to relocate, within 25 miles of Minong, WI or base location station. - Salary and job level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. - Share our core values of Integrity, Safety and Respect.
