Summary
This position plays an active role in designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the enterprise database and its integrated systems across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
* Shared business ownership of the Sage MAS500 ERP and integrated DCSC WMS applications with responsibility for production support, enhancement management, and security access control. * Maintain databases on SQL Server platform. * Create, tune, and deploy SQL queries for reporting and other business uses. * Support website/eCommerce platform that is integrated with ERP database. * Support and document database architecture and Data Modeling. * Provide support for Data Warehouse. * Build database utilities and automated reporting. * Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements. * Monitor systems and platforms for availability. * Restore databases from backups as part of routine QA processes. * Install and test upgrades and patches. * Maintain installation documentation and other information related to the ERP and WMS systems. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Proficient with SQL Server Management Studio. * Working knowledge of Visual Basic script, a plus. * Proven ability to deal with time sensitive items. * A solid team player with strong initiative. * Strong focus on customer satisfaction; internal and external. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment. * Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with a hands-on approach. * Willingness to work additional hours as needed. * Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems * Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, a plus Minimum Qualifications: * 3-5 years of experience with database administration. * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Programming or Business-related field. * Strong technical experience in MS SQL Server administration and tools including SQL Profiler, Query Analyzer, SSIS, load balancing, and others. * Familiarity with report writing and different business insight tools. * Knowledge of e-commerce environments.
