Senior Software Engineer

Emerson Climate Technologies is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer who is passionate and enjoys developing code. You will be responsible for the development of applications to solve business, engineering, and scientific problems.

* Develop applications which includes front end, server side and database development in the cloud. * Develop automated UAT and Unit Tests * Develop technical documentation * Assist in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * 24/7 on call support rotation

* 6-10 years of software development experience * Must know Design Patterns and Object Oriented concepts and principles * Industry experience in general software development methodologies * Must have experience in building web applications * Strong understanding of RESTful Webservice/XML/JSON required * Experience with Threading, async patterns and .NET thread safe collections * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is desired * Must be a self-starter, able to work well without close supervision **Preferred Qualifications** * 5+ years’ experience in C# Framework 4.0 or higher * 3+ years’ experience designing and developing scalable and highly available applications in the cloud * Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Services like Redis. * Experience with TCP/IP or other networking communication protocols * Experience in programming interactions with hardware devices * Mobile development experience * SalesForce experience * 2+ years’ experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) * Experience working in Agile environments * Excellent organizational, communication, and motivational skills * Excellent verbal/written communication skills
