Summary
eMarketer is looking for a Product Manager to work on our Media and Web properties. In this role, you’ll assess product opportunities and make decisions about the software we need in order to grow our media business and expand our public web presence. As a Product Manager you’ll have the opportunity to solve big challenges facing the business and our users, and you’ll be assessed based on the business outcomes that result from what you build.
Responsibilities
* You will be the “product owner” for an agile team of developers and manage a backlog of production stories. * Lead product discovery for the team. Validate ideas and define stories that will make users love our products and accomplish our goals. * Work with user experience designers, developers, stakeholders and our customers to develop prototypes, mockups and tests. * You will become an expert on our users, conducting interviews and user experience tests with several users per week; as well as analyzing their behavior using analytics tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, SQL, PowerBI and Mongodb. * Collaborate with stakeholders in advertising sales, marketing, editorial and other departments to understand overall business requirements and goals impacting your area.
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years product management experience and 7+ years business experience with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility. Experience managing media products and online properties strongly preferred * Proven record of project management, consulting and/or customer advocacy skills in a B2B environment * Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to solve complex development tasks * Excellent data analysis skills. Experience working with SQL reporting, Mongo, Omniture, Google Analytics or and/or Google Webmaster tools a plus * Must be a creative problem solver and a creative problem anticipator * Experience working in an Agile /Scrum development environment a plus * Excellent written / verbal communication and decision-making skills
