Responsibilities
  • Elsevier’s Pharma Solutions Marketing team is seeking a proven manager to drive audience development solutions for various Heathcare Professional (HCP)-facing websites (including: PracticeUpdate, eHealthCareers, and Elsevier Office of Continuing Medical Education). The User Acquisition Marketing Manager will spearhead initiatives and strategies to increase audience growth on the forementioned websites.

  • He/she will be responsible for developing, executing and analyzing the multi-channel marketing strategies/tactics necessary to grow our physician audience (currently including: email/newsletter, online media, mobile apps, paid search, search engine optmization (SEO), direct mail, print, social media, conferences/events, and partnership marketing).

  • This individual must be a strategic, analytical, a strong creative thinker, and a collaborator with an ability to work cross-functionally across teams. He /she will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, including product, marketing, and technology teams. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys taking projects from conception to implementation, and is eager to test and refine marketing tactics and campaigns across multiple channels to accomplish the goal. This position reports to the Marketing Director.

User Acquisition Strategy Optimization

  • Lead the development and execution of the overall user acquisition strategy for Pharma Solutions various HCP-facing websites.
  • Serve as lead project manager facilitating the execution of creative projects and media plans associated with member acquisition, and traffic growth.
  • Develop and execute new marketing campaigns, ideas, collaborations and strategic partnerships to grow our audience.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams on marketing positioning & overall communication strategy.
  • Develop recommendations and execution plans to optimize the registration process on Pharma Solutions sites to convert viewers to registered members.
  • Continually test and evaluate new strategies and tactics (A/B testing programs).
  • Leverage marketing automation platform to build new and innovative user journeys that are personalized and responsive to the individual member.
  • Manage database segmentation, messaging segmentation, and list development for various marketing initiatives.
  • Compile presentations to senior management on program performance.
  • Manage program budget, ensuring maximum efficiency of marketing spend

User Acquisition Analystics

  • Utilize strategic data to maximize audience engagement and response.
  • Identify user trends and provide recommendations on user segmentation, profiling and engagement
  • Forecast, evaluate, track, measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns & assess against goals (ROI & KPIs);
  • Conduct competitive analysis & market research; continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, & standards for campaign learnings
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in online/digital marketing with specific experience in audience development and audience segmentation; content publishing and/or healthcare experience a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years online direct marketing experience developing new member acquisition programs.
  • Expertise in specific marketing functions, including digital advertising, digital asset development, creative design & copywriting development.
  • Expansive knowledge of website analytics tools and previous experience utilizing marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM software tools Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency required.
  • E-mail list management experience required.
  • Up to 10% travel required.
