Systems Analyst

* Working with the client to design and build reporting and analysis tools that improve and make reporting, analyzing, planning and forecasting more efficient. * Executing recurring reporting and data extracts to facilitate business performance monitoring needs. * Fulfilling ad-hoc data requests by querying databases and other sources. * Developing data quality validation processes and tools to ensure consistent and accurate data in client systems. * Validating report results against requirements and underlying data for accuracy. * Following standard processes including development lifecycle functions, interface development and maintenance, system configuration changes and access, recurring reporting and communication, quality assurance testing, etc. * Managing documentation of reports, data and metadata catalog. * Troubleshooting and analyzing issues within reports. * Monitoring and contributing to improvement of team performance metrics. * Providing timely status reports of projects to reporting team and management. * Interacting with the client, accommodating business needs and resolving conflicting user demands. * Possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Working well under pressure & within short timelines.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience. * Higher Education background and knowledge with 4 or more year’s related experience desired. * Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries. * Experience with Oracle Warehouse Builder. * Experience with database modeling - Star schemas, Snowflake schemas, Constellation schemas, slowly changing dimensions and aggregation techniques. * Strong data analysis and debugging skills. * Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to work independently and with business teams to understand operational and financial issues, discover drivers of performance and help them understand their operations better on their own terms. * COGNOS Reporting knowledge preferred but not required. * Ellucian Banner desired
