Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Director of Inside sales and other key team members to ensure you gain a good perspective of the inside sales role, experience and results * You will be required to learn and become versed in all our solutions, our value and what these solutions represent for Higher Education. * Partner with inside sales representatives in an assigned territory and with the corresponding field counterparts and work in projects as assigned. * You will work on a project based environment researching prospects * Coordinate online demonstration on behalf of the Sales Account Executive * Provide information to educate customers about the industry, potential solution benefits and product functionality * Lead qualification * Maintain detailed documentation account activities in company CRM (experience with Salesforce.com is a plus) * Perform administrative tasks as required * Active prospecting to new business opportunities by telephone and email * Deliver scripted sales pitch to the customer * Adjust scripted sales pitch to meet the needs of specific customers * Handle basic customer questions * Discuss Ellucian solutions utilizing tools with assigned lists provided by Retalix * Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction * Utilizing SalesForce, record customer details including reaction, contact information, follow-up needs * Help the outside sales representatives with scheduling of meetings and other sales initiatives * Responsible for the execution of sales campaigns * Secure customer participation in user conference, webinars, and Ellucian University programs
Ideal Candidate
* The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Word and Excel. * Transferable sales skills from retail, customer service or other relevant positions. * A professional yet friendly customer service attitude that will enhance the candidate's ability to perform well and grow within a Higher Education Company * A conscientious, highly motivated self-starter, who is detailed-oriented and committed to make a difference in Higher Education * A strategic thinker and possesses effective time management skills that focus on long-term success. * Previous sales or educational experience with digital learning systems in a classroom environment would be a strong advantage. * Junior undergraduate student majoring in Business, Marketing, Communications or Advertising. * The student must be able to work full time from mid May 16 to August 12, 2016 in our offices in Fairfax, VA. * Submit a cover letter and resume.
